when i was young
i worshiped the stars
wrapped like a jeweled net
glistening on the body of the night
that blue-black goddess of love
hidden by the sparkling lights
revealed on a stellar map
laid on the round curvature
of space and time by gravity
somehow teaching us to worship
the hidden goddess beneath
the holy matrix of all life
swallowing the universe
